Build for Belonging

We are challenging all 7 to 14-year-olds to imagine a better world, where everyone belongs.

Create something that tackles loneliness, redesign a space so that everyone is included or find a surprising way to bring people closer to nature!

Once your pupils have created their design, we’d love for you to upload photos of these creations to our ideas gallery.

Once I started to build, the ideas kept flowing and I kept adding to my design. I think if you are stuck, just start, you will be surprised how much you can do!”

Design with Empathy

Ella’s Hospital Car Park

“When I was contemplating my Build the Change project, I wanted to include innovative components in my design to reflect a young person’s view of the world and what could be done to improve it using architecture.”

Build for Community

Samuel's Friendship Bench

“I was jumping up and down with excitement at the news of my winning entry. I could not believe it! I am really proud of my design and it was good to think about ways to help people feel less isolated.”
